The EAE PS640 KNX Power Supply delivers stable, SELV-compliant power to a KNX installation from a mains supply. It provides up to 640 mA on the primary KNX output — suitable for medium to large KNX lines — plus a second 30 V DC auxiliary output for devices that need a separate feed (touch panels, certain actuators) without a second mains-powered supply.

Output 1 feeds the KNX bus through an integrated choke, which is required for correct KNX physical-layer behaviour. Output 2 provides 30 V DC without a choke and must not be used to power a second independent KNX bus segment. Both outputs are short-circuit and overload protected. Three front-panel LEDs and a reset button support on-site diagnostics and controlled bus recovery.

Applications and KNX Integration

• Mid-to-large residential: Central supply for actuators, sensors, and visualization where 320 mA is insufficient.
• Commercial distribution boards: Floor or tenancy KNX supply with auxiliary feed for touch panels.
• Touch panel projects: Auxiliary output powers MIOLA 10″ or TD4 panels alongside the KNX bus segment.

Choosing EAE Power Supplies

The PS640 is the high-current EAE supply with auxiliary output — choose it when total bus consumption exceeds 320 mA or when a 30 V DC auxiliary feed is needed. For smaller lines, EAE also offers the PS320 (320 mA). Both share the same dual-output design and DIN-rail form factor.
