The EAE RCU0800 KNX Room Control Unit is an all-in-one DIN-rail actuator for hotel rooms, apartments, and commercial spaces. From a single module it controls lighting, blinds, fan coils, and optional dry-contact inputs — reducing the number of separate actuators and simplifying room-level wiring.

The RCU0800 provides 8 × 16 A relay outputs grouped into two independent output channels, each configurable for different operating modes. It is bus-powered (no external auxiliary supply required) and switches resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads in accordance with EN 60669, including fluorescent lamp loads.

Output Modes

Eight relay outputs are allocated across two channel groups. Each group can be configured for:

• Switching outputs (×4): On/off control of lights and general loads.
• AC blind control (×2): Motorised AC blinds and shutters.
• DC blind control (×1): DC-powered blind motors.
• 2-point valve (×2): Two-pipe fan coil valve control.
• 3-point valve (×1): Three-pipe fan coil valve control.

Room Functions

• Light switch: On/off lighting control.
• AC/DC blind control: Shutter and blind positioning.
• Fan control: Ventilation switching.
• Fan coil control: 2- and 3-point valve HVAC control.

Choosing EAE Room Control Units

The RCU0800 is the entry-level output-only room controller with 8 × 16 A relays — no universal inputs on this model. Step up to RCU0808 (8 outputs + 8 inputs), RCU1200 (12 outputs), or RCU2018 (20 outputs + 18 inputs) as room complexity grows. All share the EAE Room Control Unit ETS application family.
