Need help choosing the right gateway?
The EAE KMG103 KNX/Modbus Gateway is a multi-function room controller for Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) in hotels and serviced apartments. It bridges the in-room KNX line to the building Modbus TCP backbone for SCADA and PMS integration — while integrating a KNX power supply, KNXnet/IP tunneling interface, and occupancy-based energy-saving logic that replaces a physical card holder.
By combining PSU, gateway, and energy saver in one DIN-rail module, the KMG103 reduces per-room device count: no separate KNX power supply, no per-room IP router, and no card-holder interface are required in the standard EAE hotel topology. The device connects directly to Modbus TCP on the room network and supports up to 4 simultaneous KNXnet/IP tunneling connections for ETS commissioning and group monitor access.

The KMG103 is purpose-built for EAE hotel GRMS topologies where Modbus TCP is the room backbone. For standard commercial or residential KNX panels that only need bus power and IP backbone coupling, use a dedicated PS640 Power Supply plus an IPR200 Router or LC200 Coupler instead.
