The EAE RCU1212 KNX Room Control Unit is an all-in-one DIN-rail actuator for hotel rooms, apartments, and commercial spaces. Pairs 12 × 16 A relay outputs with 12 universal input channels in the compact 108 mm width — the balanced choice for hotel rooms that need both actuation and conventional switch wiring.

From a single module it controls lighting, blinds, fan coils, and optional dry-contact inputs where fitted. The RCU1212 is bus-powered (no external auxiliary supply required) and switches resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads in accordance with EN 60669, including fluorescent lamp loads at 16 A / 250 V AC.

Applications and KNX Integration

Choosing EAE Room Control Units

The RCU1212 matches RCU1200 output capacity but adds 12 inputs. For 8+8 in a smaller package, see RCU0808. For 16 outputs, choose RCU1600 or RCU1616. For 12 outputs without inputs, choose the EAE RCU1200. For the largest compact-line room controller, compare with RCU0808 if 8+8 suffices.

EAE naming: RCUXXYY where XX = output count and YY = input count (0 = output-only). All models share the KNX Room Control Unit v2.0 ETS application.
