The Interra ITR830-1004 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries AC KNX Gateway is an air-conditioning interface for monitoring and controlling the functional parameters of Mitsubishi Heavy indoor units over the KNX bus. One side connects to the indoor-unit electronics on the Mitsubishi wired-remote communication bus (cable supplied per Interra datasheet); the other side connects directly to the KNX twisted-pair line for bidirectional integration with ETS, visualisation and hotel / residential BMS.

ITR830-1004 is the coding in the ITR830-X004 family that includes the digital / analog input connector (Interra marks these inputs as available on ITR830-1004). Compatible models are those listed in the Interra compatibility list (see Downloads). The gateway can be installed inside the indoor unit; Interra specifies a maximum AC-side cable distance of 350 m. It may operate alone or with an optional Mitsubishi wired remote in a documented master / slave arrangement. On-board 4 logic blocks and 8 converters support energy-saving routines, scenes and temperature limits. Ambient temperature for the AC can be taken from the gateway temperature input or from a KNX object; via 3 digital inputs, external devices can be connected. The AC unit reports error notifications on KNX for exceptional faults.

Applications and KNX Integration

• Hotels & residential: One gateway per addressed Mitsubishi Heavy indoor unit; pair with Interra room panels such as iX3 or iX2.
• Without digital inputs: Use ITR830-0004 when the DI/temperature-input connector is not required.
• Other brands on Smartanix: ITR830-0003 Daikin Sky & VRV, ITR830-0009 Gree VRF, ITR830-0014 Toshiba VRF, ITR830-0501 Samsung NASA, ITR830-1001 Mitsubishi Electric VRF.
• Bus power: Size the line with a suitable KNX supply (e.g. ITR900 640 mA) when many gateways share a segment.

Choosing and Commissioning

Always verify the indoor model against Interra’s official Compatibility List before ordering. Choose ITR830-1004 when you need the digital/analog input connector; choose ITR830-0004 when you do not. If a wired remote shares the bus, set gateway and remote master / slave roles as documented (when the remote is master, ambient temperature reference cannot be taken from the KNX bus). Commission with the Interra ETS application for the ITR830-X004 family (S-Mode).
