Interra ITR520-0016 — KNX Combo+ 20-channel actuator
The ITR520-0016 KNX Combo+ 20-channel actuator is a high-density DIN-rail device for demanding residential and hotel projects. It combines multiple actuator roles in one enclosure with 20 independent outputs, each configurable for functions such as lighting, heating (switching), shutter and blind control (typically using two consecutive outputs per drive), and fan-coil applications. The device is supplied entirely from the KNX bus, which simplifies cabinet wiring by removing the need for a separate mains-powered supply for the module itself.
Built-in manual push-button control on the device allows local override of outputs when bus communication is unavailable. The unit supports up to 600 group addresses, includes advanced logic and timing features, and retains last-state memory after power loss for defined outputs, supporting predictable recovery behaviour after mains events.
1. Output allocation and system integration
The ITR520-0016 allows dynamic allocation of its 20 outputs across the main building services controlled over KNX.
Configurable output functions
- High-density control: Up to 20 channels in one DIN-rail module for centralized services.
- Lighting and heating: Outputs can be assigned to lighting or heating switching as required by the application.
- Shutters and blinds: Standard shutter/blind control using two consecutive outputs per drive; also supports dedicated shutter/blind 24 V configurations where four outputs are grouped per the device application.
- HVAC / fan coils: Supports two-pipe fan-coil configurations (typically four outputs) and four-pipe fan-coil configurations (typically five outputs), per channel configuration.
- Integration: Seamless information exchange with KNX sensors, such as the Interra 4 Touch Panel, and integration with building-management or gateway layers on the same installation.
2. Programming, resilience, and safety of operation
- Advanced logic: Includes timers, logic gates, scenes, disable/force functions, operating-hours counters, and configurable feedback telegrams where supported by application.
- Power resilience: Last situation memory against power failure for applicable channels.
- Manual control: Physical buttons on the module for maintenance and emergency operation paths.
- Commissioning: Full application configuration through the project tool; up to 600 group addresses and 600 assignments as specified for this product family.
