The Interra ITR830-0501 Samsung NASA AC KNX Gateway is an air-conditioning interface for monitoring and controlling the functional parameters of Samsung NASA indoor units over the KNX bus. One side connects to the indoor-unit electronics on the Samsung F3/F4 Home Bus; the other side connects directly to the KNX twisted-pair line for bidirectional integration with ETS, visualisation and hotel / commercial BMS.

The gateway can be installed inside the indoor unit or at a suitable remote location on the F3/F4 bus; Interra specifies a maximum AC-side cable distance of 300 m. According to Interra’s product page, Samsung NASA gateway codings in this family can control 1, 1–4, 4–8, 8–16 or 16–32 air conditioners depending on model number — either synchronously with multicast or independently. For larger groups, Interra documents indoor units 1–16 on port A and 16–32 on port B, with ports kept isolated from each other. On-board 4 logic blocks (AND / OR / XOR, up to 4 inputs each) and 8 converters support energy-saving routines, scenes and temperature limits. The Samsung unit reports error notifications on KNX. Note: the air conditioner must remain off during mode transitions between heating and cooling.

Choosing and Commissioning

Always verify indoor models against Interra’s official Compatibility List and confirm the indoor-unit capacity of the ordered coding before commissioning. Keep ACs off when switching between heating and cooling modes. Wire F3/F4 polarity and port A/B isolation as documented when using multi-unit groups. Commission with the Interra ETS application for ITR830-0501 (S-Mode).
