The Interra ITR830-0014 Toshiba VRF AC KNX Gateway is an air-conditioning interface for monitoring and controlling the functional parameters of Toshiba VRF indoor units over the KNX bus. One side connects to the indoor-unit electronics on the Toshiba wired-remote communication bus; the other side connects directly to the KNX twisted-pair line for bidirectional integration with ETS, visualisation and hotel / commercial BMS.

Compatible models are those classified as VRF in the Interra compatibility list (see Downloads). The gateway can be installed inside the indoor unit or at a suitable remote location on the wired-remote bus; Interra specifies a maximum AC-side cable distance of 150 m. It may operate alone or with an optional Toshiba wired remote in a documented master / slave arrangement. On-board 4 logic blocks (AND / OR / XOR, up to 4 inputs each) and 8 converters (four math operations per converter) support energy-saving routines, scenes and temperature limits without extra bus devices. The Toshiba unit reports error notifications on KNX for exceptional faults (error-code mapping is documented in the Interra datasheet).

Applications and KNX Integration

Choosing and Commissioning

Always verify the indoor model against Interra’s official Compatibility List before ordering. If a wired remote shares the bus, set gateway and remote master / slave roles as documented (when the remote is master, ambient temperature reference cannot be taken from the KNX bus).
