The Interra ITR830-0009 Gree VRF AC KNX Gateway is an air-conditioning interface for monitoring and controlling the functional parameters of Gree Electric VRF indoor units over the KNX bus. One side connects to the indoor-unit electronics on the Gree wired-remote communication bus (cable supplied per Interra datasheet); the other side connects directly to the KNX twisted-pair line for bidirectional integration with ETS, visualisation and hotel / commercial BMS.

Compatible models are those sold by Gree and classified as VRF in the Interra compatibility list (see Downloads) — do not use this SKU for Gree Split systems (use ITR830-0012). The gateway can be installed inside the indoor unit or at a suitable location on the wired-remote bus; it may operate alone or with an optional Gree wired remote in a documented master / slave arrangement. On-board 4 logic blocks and 8 converters support energy-saving routines, scenes and temperature limits without extra bus devices. The Gree unit reports error notifications on KNX for exceptional faults. Ambient temperature for the AC can be taken from a KNX object (or from the gateway temperature input on digital-input codings in the ITR830-X009 family).

Applications and KNX Integration

• Hotels & commercial VRF: One gateway per addressed Gree VRF indoor unit; pair with Interra room panels such as iX3 or iX2.
• Gree Split: Use ITR830-0012 — not ITR830-0009.
• Other brands on Smartanix: ITR830-0003 Daikin Sky & VRV, ITR830-0014 Toshiba VRF, ITR830-0013 Midea VRF, ITR830-1004 Mitsubishi Heavy.
• Bus power: Size the line with a suitable KNX supply (e.g. ITR900 640 mA) when many gateways share a segment.

Choosing and Commissioning

Always verify the indoor model against Interra’s official Compatibility List before ordering — VRF only; Split needs ITR830-0012. If a wired remote shares the bus, set gateway and remote master / slave roles as documented (when the remote is master, ambient temperature reference cannot be taken from the KNX bus). Commission with the Interra ETS application for ITR830-0009 (S-Mode; .knxprod under Downloads).
