The ABB Busch-Alarm Relay Module (order code 6829-84) is a surface-mounted RF alarm relay for Busch-Smoke and heat alarm systems. With a built-in radio module and a potential-free changeover contact rated 230 V~ / max. 5 A, it switches external loads or signals into building systems when a networked smoke or heat alarm triggers.

Studio-white finish. Connect to KNX via binary inputs, or to ABB-free@home® via binary / extension inputs of wireless sensor–actuator combinations (e.g. 6211/1.1-WL).

Applications and System Integration

• External signalling: Drive sirens, indicator lamps, or HVAC shut-down contacts from the smoke/heat radio group.
• KNX projects: Feed the changeover contact into a binary input so ETS logic can react to fire alarms.
• free@home homes: Connect via binary / extension inputs on wireless sensor–actuator units (e.g. 6211/1.1-WL).
• Networkable detectors: Pair with 6833/01-84-500 (and related heat-alarm variants). For RF inserts on detectors that need a separate module, see 6828.
• Standalone smoke: The non-networkable 6833-84-500 cannot join the radio group — use networkable ProfessionalLINE detectors with this relay.

Installation Notes

Surface-mount the studio-white housing and wire the potential-free changeover contact according to the ABB connection diagram (Downloads). Commission the built-in RF module into the same radio group as the networked Busch-Smoke / heat alarms. Installation by a qualified electrician only when switching mains loads.
