The HDL-M/DM06.1 KNX 6CH 1.5A MOSFET Dimming Actuator is a DIN-rail phase dimmer for up to six independent lighting circuits. Each channel delivers 1.5 A of MOSFET dimming output, with a combined maximum of 9 A across all channels. The module accepts mains at 100–240 V AC and is controlled via the KNX bus, with per-channel manual override on the front panel.

Part of HDL's MOSFET dimming actuator family (also available as 2CH 3 A and 4CH 1.5 A variants), the M/DM06.1 supports both leading-edge and trailing-edge dimming modes. Leading edge is recommended for inductive loads; trailing edge for resistive and most LED loads. Parallel channel configuration allows combining outputs for higher current on a single circuit.

Dimming Outputs

  • 6 channels: Independent MOSFET dimming outputs at 1.5 A per channel.
  • 9 A total: Maximum combined output current across all six channels.
  • Leading / trailing edge: Selectable dimming mode per channel in ETS.
  • Parallel outputs: Channels can be paralleled for heavy-current circuits.
  • Load types: Incandescent, halogen, and dimmable LED.

Application Functions (ETS)

  • Scene control and scene dimming: Integration into KNX lighting scenes.
  • Staircase light, flashing light, sequence control: Timed and sequenced lighting behaviour.
  • Dimming limits: Upper and lower dimming level control per channel.
  • Heating control (PWM): PWM output mode for compatible loads.
  • Monitoring: ON-time statistics, status response, and status recovery after bus voltage return.
  • Temperature: Read temperature and overheat alarm functions.

Protection and Manual Control

  • Short-circuit, overload, and overheat protection on each output.
  • Manual override: Per-channel switching and dimming via front-panel buttons with status LEDs.
  • Programming access: KNX programming button/LED and bus terminal.

Applications and KNX Integration

  • Multi-zone lighting: Dim six independent circuits from KNX switches, sensors, and touch panels.
  • Scene-based control: Recall preset levels from the HDL Granite Display (M/PTL4.1).
  • Fewer channels: For four circuits, choose the HDL-M/DM04.1 4CH MOSFET Dimming Actuator (6 A total, 144 mm width).
  • On/off loads: For high-power switching without dimming, use the HDL-M/R16.10.1 16CH Switch Actuator.
  • System power: Supply the KNX bus from an HDL M/P960.1 960 mA Power Supply.

Choosing HDL MOSFET Dimming Actuators

The M/DM06.1 is the six-channel option at 216 mm width — ideal when a single module must dim six 1.5 A circuits. Step down to the M/DM04.1 for four channels or the M/DM02.1 (2CH × 3 A) for higher per-channel current. All share the same MOSFET platform, ETS parameterization, and protection features.
