The HDL M/PCI2PE.1 KNX Panel Power Interface EU is the mandatory back-box for HDL KNX touch panels such as the M/PTL4.1 Granite Display. It provides two power interfaces: a standard KNX bus connection (communication + bus power) and an auxiliary DC input (20–30 V) from an external supply for panel backlight and electronics.

The display panel slides into the interface mounting slots after the interface is fixed in a flush wall box. EU form factor is 80 × 80 mm; HDL also offers a US variant (M/PCI2PU.2) at 110.5 mm width for North American boxes.

Applications and KNX Integration

• Granite Display projects: One M/PCI2PE.1 per M/PTL4.1 — auxiliary feed can use spare KNX cable pairs (yellow/white) with a 20–30 V DC supply (~108 mA at 24 V for the panel).
• Bus planning: Count panel auxiliary current separately from standard 10 mA device loads when sizing M/P960.1 supplies.
• Multi-floor IP: Commission panels on coupled lines via M/IPRT.1 IP Router.
• Sensor lines: Same interface family supports HDL KNX panels and sensors that require auxiliary power.

Choosing Panel Infrastructure

The M/PCI2PE.1 is required infrastructure for EU-format HDL KNX displays — not optional for the Granite panel. Order one interface per panel location. For DIN-rail system equipment (PSU, router, actuators), use M/P960.1 and M/IPRT.1 in the distribution board.
