The HDL M/DALI.1 KNX DALI Gateway integrates a DALI lighting line into a KNX building automation system. It connects up to 64 DALI devices (electronic control gear, LED drivers, and ballasts) on a single DALI bus and includes a built-in DALI power supply — eliminating the need for a separate DALI PSU in the cabinet.

The gateway provides real-time failure detection for ballast and lamp faults, with status reported on the KNX bus. It supports broadcast, channel, group, and scene control — including DT8 colour-temperature control for tunable-white luminaires — and is configured via ETS together with the HDL KNX Assistant Software for DALI addressing and group/scene management.

Choosing HDL Gateways

The M/DALI.1 is HDL's KNX-to-DALI gateway for standard DALI installations up to 64 devices. Pair with the M/DMX512.1 when the project also requires DMX512 show lighting, or with M/R16.10.1 switch actuators for conventional on/off circuits on the same KNX installation.
