The ABB SV/S 30.320.1.1 KNX Power Supply generates and monitors the KNX system voltage (SELV) for a single bus line at 320 mA output. It doubles the capacity of the 160 mA model and is the most common choice for medium-sized KNX lines in commercial and residential distribution boards.
An integrated choke decouples the bus line from the power supply — mandatory for correct KNX data communication. The 30 V DC output is short-circuit and overload protected. Mains input covers 85 … 265 V AC, 50/60 Hz, and a two-colour LED provides immediate status feedback.
Key Features — 320 mA Line Power
Power Output
- 320 mA at 30 V DC: SELV output for one KNX line segment.
- Integrated choke: One built-in choke — no external decoupler needed on the main line.
- Protection: Short-circuit and overload protected output.
- Status LED: Two-colour indicator for output and bus status.
Installation
- 4 MW MDRC: 72 × 90 × 64.5 mm DIN-rail module — same footprint as the 160 mA variant.
- Wide mains input: 85 … 265 V AC, 50/60 Hz.
- Power loss: 6 W typical.

Applications and KNX Integration
- Medium commercial lines: Power a floor or zone line with mixed sensors, binary inputs, dimming actuators, and blind drives.
- Main line backbone: Typical supply for a main line feeding multiple sub-lines through LK/S 4.2 line couplers.
- IP router auxiliary feed: Often used in the same panel to supply 12 … 30 V DC auxiliary power to an IPR/S3.5.1 KNX IP Router Secure alongside the KNX bus load.
- ETS monitoring: Import the shared .knxprod application (Downloads) for bus-side diagnostics.
Choosing SV/S 30 Power Supplies
For small lines with low device count, the SV/S 30.160.1.1 KNX Power Supply 160 mA may be sufficient. For heavily loaded main lines or a secondary unregulated output, choose the SV/S 30.640.3.1 KNX Power Supply 640 mA. Binary inputs such as the BE/S10.20.3.2 KNX Binary Input 10-fold Data Secure draw minimal bus current but must be included in the line budget.
