The ABB IS/S 8.1.1 IP Switch (order code 2CDG120082R0011) is an 8-port Fast Ethernet MDRC switch for building a compact LAN fabric next to KNX IP devices. Use it in the distribution board to interconnect IP interfaces, IP routers, visualisation PCs, controllers and other Ethernet endpoints without leaving the panel for a commercial desktop switch.

IS/S is network infrastructure — it is not a KNX TP device and has no ETS application. Power and commission it as an Ethernet switch per the ABB technical data. It does not provide PoE; each IP endpoint needs its own supply (auxiliary 24 V such as CP-D 24/2.5, or PoE from another source). When you want PoE from the switch itself, choose the sister model ISP/S8.1.1.1.

Typical panel partners include IPS/S3.1.1 / IPS/S3.5.1, IPR routers, and IPM/S1.1 patch modules for tidy RJ45 breakout. Keep Ethernet cabling and KNX TP wiring segregated according to ABB / project EMC practice.
