The ABB IPS/S 3.1.1 KNX IP Interface (order code 2CDG110177R0011) is the interface between KNX installations and IP networks. It uses the KNXnet/IP protocol so KNX devices can be programmed via LAN with ETS, and visualisation or other clients can access the bus. From ETS4 onwards, five tunneling servers are available for concurrent sessions.

The MDRC device occupies 2 modular spacings (2 MW) (approx. 36 × 90 × 64.5 mm, net weight 0.1 kg). Power is supplied via 12…30 V DC or PoE (IEEE 802.3af class 1) — typically from ISP/S8.1.1.1 or an auxiliary supply such as CP-D 24/2.5. The IP address can be fixed or assigned by DHCP.
