The ABB IPM/S 1.1 IP Patch Module (order code 2CDG120036R0011) is a modular DIN-rail accessory that provides a clean RJ45 Ethernet patch point in the distribution board next to KNX IP devices and IP switches. It is passive network infrastructure — not a KNX twisted-pair device, draws no bus current, and is not commissioned in ETS.

Use IPM/S 1.1 to land patch cords and field Ethernet cables neatly beside IS/S8.1.1, ISP/S8.1.1.1, IPS/S3.1.1 / IPS/S3.5.1 and IPR routers, instead of leaving loose RJ45 joints or untidy field cables in the panel. Keep Ethernet and KNX TP wiring segregated according to project EMC practice.

IPM/S does not switch, route or power Ethernet — it only organises the physical connection. Choose IS/S or ISP/S for switching (with or without PoE), and IPS/IPR for KNXnet/IP tunneling or routing.
