The ABB MG/S 11.100.1.1 Modbus RTU – KNX TP Gateway (order code 2CDG120089R0011) brings Modbus RTU field devices into the ABB i-bus® KNX network with up to 100 mapped points. Typical partners are energy meters, network analyzers, wallboxes and other RS-485 Modbus devices that must publish values or accept commands on KNX.

Commission only with the product-specific MG/S 11.100.1.1 ETS application. Where ABB publishes a .knxmbr mapping template for the connected device, use that template (and the ABB template-configuration DCA) instead of hand-building register maps. ABB also publishes troubleshooting guidance for this gateway — keep Downloads at hand during engineering.

The unit is a compact MDRC gateway (2 MW, approx. 48 g / 0.048 kg per ABB technical data). Plan RS-485 topology, termination and baud rate to match both the Modbus devices and the MG/S settings in ETS. This gateway is not a KNXnet/IP interface; for IP tunneling use IPS/S3.1.1 / Secure variants separately.
